{Just a little wonder around London and you can find the most quirky cafes}
Reading a book first thing in the morning might sound decadent and self-idulgent but it gives the rest of the day the right tone and pace, thoughtful, creative and not rushed. Lately, I'd formed the bad habit of popping my laptop and Filofax in bed and checking emails and writing to-do list first thing in the morning. It didn't save me time and it resulted in more stress and worry. Sometimes, I tried to meditate first thing in the morning but my mind was too busy for that too. I prefer to meditate a bit later in the day. Finally, I made peace with the fact that the most nurturing thing for me to do first thing in the morning is to spent some quality time with my books. And it works! This week was a bliss. We have to do some wedding planning this weekend but I hope there will be plenty of time left for baking, drinking heaps of tea and attend to the stack of books on my bedside table.
